Samsung B3310
At first glance it appears that the Samsung B3310 is targeted towards young females. From its flashy pink styling to the fold out QWERTY keyboard, this unit just begs you to start texting. Although painfully obvious that this mobile phone is geared towards lower entry level users it packs a host of features that make it a contender in that space.
The first thing that stands out is the unusual but interesting keyboard layout. It will allow people to find the numeric keys where they would normally expect to see them on a desktop keyboard. This is when the full QWERTY keyboard is opened. You might ask what if it´s closed. Well the QWERTY keyboard has three rows of buttons and unlike some other models the “space” button is right smack in the middle. It might seem a little odd but once you get used to the new layout, the functionality is actually quite handy. Samsung is again breaking new ground on the cutting edge of new technology. Samsung’s B3310 is introducing new ways of doing common tasks.
The keyboard is designed this way so that sending messages to social networks like Facebook or MySpace will be easier. Hang on, did you say Facebook? MySpace? Yes the B3310 will arrive at your door preloaded with not only Facebook and MySpace apps, but will allow you to share content through Flickr and Photobucket as well. Very cool considering how the device contains a 2.0 Mega pixel camera that also captures digital video.
Additional features include a 2.1-inch display with native resolution of 176×220 pixels and 256k colors , GPRS (no 3G though), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support, an MP3 player, FM Radio and a microSD card slot. All of this in a body that is only 93mm long, 53mm wide and 18mm.
