Samsung Galaxy Lite i5700The Galaxy Spica i5700 has hit the market in Europe. Samsung, the phones manufacturer, has managed to create another feature packed smartphone for the global market. Besides the aforementioned Europe, the phone is also currently available in CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and will be hitting stores in the United States, Asia and the Middle East.

Samsung is known worldwide for manufacturing high quality products. The Spica is their second Android mobile phone and it’s coming on the heels of another one.  The Galaxy i7500 hit the market a few months ago and the company is already rolling out the Galaxy i5700. Many people believe that it was created in response to Nokia’s booklet 3G.

The mobile phone market is extremely competitive and it is quite common see companies creating phones in response to a particular model sold by another company.  The Spica i5700 has plenty of features and a couple of significant upgrades, most notably, DivX capabilities.

The Spica is one of the fastest mobile phones on the market with its 800 MHz processor. The phone does lack a bit in memory capabilities.  However, it can be expanded up to 32GB with the use of a microSD card.  The battery has been upgraded this time around as well. The Spica uses a 1500 mAh battery. Most of the other phones available in the Android line used batteries with between 1110 and 14000 mAh.

One of biggest changes made in this particular phone and which sets it apart not only from other Android phones but most other mobile phones currently being sold  is that it does have DivX support and capabilities.  This is a fantastic feature for those who enjoy watching movies on their phone.

The Spica is first being introduced to the European market and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). The United States Middle East and Asia will have the phones available in their retail outlets soon. The Galaxy Spica i5700 is currently being sold for €320.
