Say Hello to the Samsung Wave 723

Posted in Samsung Phones, Wave-Series on September 13th, 2010

The Samsung Wave 723 is one of the latest Smartphones to come out of the Korean manufacturer’s renowned laboratory. It has a 3.2” TFT capacitive display that has a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels.

It supports EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth, as well as Wi-Fi. The Smartphone is equipped with Samsung’s proprietary Bada OS which is a breath of fresh air in the mobile operating system scene. It may still need some fine tweaking here and there, but it is definitely a formidable OS. For memory, you can rely on the Wave 723’s microSD slot which can give you an additional 16GB of external memory.

Oh Snap!

One of the more impressive features of the Samsung Wave 723 is its 5-Megapixel snapper. Although it may not be as powerful as the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 12-Megapixel monster of a camera, the Wave’s snapper is still better than most built-in camera found in a majority of Smartphones today. Most BlackBerry’s for instance, which are considered to be the premiere Smartphone of today, only sport 3-Megapixel snappers at best. So in this regard, the Samsung Wave 723 definitely outclasses at least some of its most celebrated competitors.

The Wave’s camera also comes with an LED flash, smile detection, and geo tagging as well.

Bye Bye Bulge

Aside from having a wonderful camera on board, the Samsung Wave 723 also has a built-in leather cover that serves as the protection of the touch screen display. It is attached at the bottom part of the device and you can very easily flip it on and off. There’s no advanced mechanism involved here, it’s just a straightforward leather protective cover that will allow you to do without the bulky leather casings which aren’t only an eyesore, but also tend to cost a fortune. Samsung has done a favour by giving the Wave 723 its own built-in screen cover.
