Samsung Tocco Ultra announced to the world

Posted in General on March 1st, 2009

The all new Samsung Tocco ultra is the upgraded Samsung Tocco and was unveiled at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona a couple of weeks ago. The Tocco Ultra comes with a slide out keyboard, meaning that you are no longer reliant upon just the touch screen as was the case with the original Samsung Tocco. You also get a 2.8 inch touch screen that comes complete with haptic feedback.
You also get 3G HSPDA connectivity, ensuring you get the fastest internet connections whilst on the move. There is also GPS connectivity which allows for Geo-tagging for your photographs. Talking of photographs, the Samsung Tocco Ultra has an 8 megapixel camera, capable of talking perfectly adequate photographs whilst on the move. The flash is only LED however and in our experience, they rarely live up to the expectations of the Xenon counterparts. You should consider this when purchasing your Samsung Tocco ultra, as taking photographs in the dark may be a little on the disappointing side.
You can see the official press release for the phone here. There are plenty of specs and the usual info surrounding the phone here. It will be priced as a cheaper alternative to the iphone, or indeed the Nokia N97, so we think given the current economic climate, that this phone should do really well when it is finally released later this year. Check out a video of the handset below.
