Samsung GT S1100 Watch Phone review

Posted in S-series on April 3rd, 2009

I know that a lot of my friends don’t believe that they could ever get used to a watch phone. I, on the other hand, am one of those people who can’t wait to get their hands on the Samsung GT S1100 watch phone. Ever since it was displayed at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona, Spain last year, I have been waiting impatiently for the announcement of its release. Sure, what Samsung displayed was merely a dummy phone and the actual phone is not even in the production stage yet, but I do believe that Samsung will keep its promise of releasing it in 2009.
Samsung made a very subtle promise regarding the release date of the Samsung GT S1100 watch phone. In the glass case that it was displayed, there were other watch phones from Samsung displayed as well. Together they created a timeline outlining the decade long history of Samsung’s commitment to designing and producing watch phone. What was promising was that under the GT S1100 watch phone, the timeline said 2009. It was done with such subtle style, you have to stop and admire it.
In any case, Samsung has kept all details of the see engadget under wraps. Precious little is known about the phone. The display of the watch phone is going to be touch screen. This is great because it would be so much more convenient to navigate without having to miniscule keys on your wrist. The other thing we know is that it has Bluetooth connectivity. This means that you can transfer data to and from the phone without attaching any cables or even taking it off your wrist. The Samsung mobile phones is also equipped with a speaker phone which is a great feature for a watch phone.
