Messaging freaks; this one’s for you!

Samsung B3310Innovation is pretty much the name of the game in the mobile phone industry. If there was no innovation at all, we would still be having phones similar to the ones we used about a decade ago. We wouldn’t have cameras, big colour screens, email, internet, music, GPS, Bluetooth or touchscreens on our phones. It is innovation which allows us to express that child – like enthusiasm whenever a new phone has been announced. However, there are instances where companies go over the edge with regard to innovation, phones like the Samsung B3310, which has all the alphanumeric keys on the side of the screen. However, for us here, where we just love innovation in all its forms, this phone is a welcome delight from the monotonous churn of phones that we generally see.

The Samsung B3310 has been designed clearly with messaging and social networks in mind, having a big QWERTY keyboard which can be revealed by sliding the phone open sideways. This keyboard will enable you to type messages on your phone really fast.

The phone’s features are pretty much what we expect in a phone of this price range, having a TFT screen which is capable of displaying a maximum of 256,000 colours. An accelerometer sensor is present which allows the screen to rotate to either landscape or portrait mode depending on how you are holding the phone.

The phone has a 2 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, and a media player which is capable of playing most of the popular formats. The internal memory of the phone is 40 MB, which can be expanded by a further 8 GB by using the microSD memory card slot. The video player can play MP4 videos.

We agree with Samsung B3310 Reviews when they say that the phone is fairly good value when you consider that it is a mid range phone. The phone is set to be released in mid – September, though we haven’t got any pricing details but keep your eyes open for some nice Samsung B3310 deals closer to its release date.
