The 3.2 megapixel camera is designed to be used in the most challenging situations. Because of this, it comes equipped with special lighting features, different effects that you can photograph in, alongside the most impressive, the photo correction program, which can correct issues that come about in photos.

The S5150 has lights the light up when certain notifications come through. You can set the settings yourself, so that the lights only come on for certain events. These include receiving a text message, incoming calls, balance reminders and basically anything else that might need your attention, including alarms, reminders and many more.

Both phones have free instant messaging, can access Facebook, MySpace and Twitter amongst many other websites, and unlike most other phones it has the ability to actually have fairly fast internet speed, not the usual half an hour wait per page to come up!

Both phones are due to be available in January 2010, though this date may be pushed back if the current money negotiations are not sorted out. Both phones are expected to be available on a contract deal as well as a pay as you go tariff, to make sure that everyone can find a suitable options to suit them. The two phones are the first in the new line of the ‘Diva Collection’, of which there will presumably be more handsets as 2010 progresses. On the face of it, the S7070 is a fairly run-of-the-mill touchscreen handset, with a 2.8″ resistive screen and 3 megapixel camera, the phone is so far doing little to impress. However, what sets it apart from other phones of a similar specification (such as the Samsung Genio) is the phones appearance, which deviates away from the bog-standard touchscreen design that makes each new touchscreen virtually indistinguishable from the next.

The S5150 is much in the same vein, a standard clamshell with a notable appearance that sets it apart from the crowd. What’s noticeable about the S5150 is the outer casing which is surprisingly attractive with its silvery pillow finish. Unlike the S7070, the S5150 is not a touchscreen but does still come with much of the same nice line of features. Both handsets benefit from excellent integration with social networking sites that make them appealing in their own right, and a pretty stylish and easy to use interface.

While these new handsets are most certainly stylish one thing they are not is like the ‘designer’ phones that have been released in the past. These will feature a heavily marked up price courtesy of a designer brand name being plastered all over while actually offering very little in terms of features and functionality. The S7070 and S5150 offer the style while still retaining all the functionality; it’s just a shame they are being marketed at women because I wouldn’t mind owning one of these myself.
